Individuality, Individuation, Subjectivity in Early Modern Philosophy

The Spring Issue of Society and Politics for 2015 will host contributions on the themes of subjectivity, individuality, and individuation in the history of early modern philosophy and science (1550-1750). Papers suitable for publication can cover all the fields of early modern philosophical traditions, as Aristotelianism, Ramism, Cartesianism, Baconianism, Gassendism, experimental philosophy, Newtonianism, according to their different interpretations. Expected contributions can address the notions of subiectum and individuum according to the abstract point of view of metaphysics and logic, to their actual application in the study of nature, body, mind, passions, language, society, politics, morality, as well as in the philosophical entailments of medicine, theology, law and mechanical arts.
