The Amsterdam Colloquia aim to bring together linguists, philosophers, logicians, cognitive scientists and computer scientists who share an interest in the formal study of the semantics and pragmatics of natural and formal languages. The Amsterdam Colloquia are organized by the Institute for Logic, Language and Computation (ILLC) of the University of Amsterdam.
With this year's edition, the Amsterdam Colloquium turns half a century old! To celebrate the 50th anniversary we will host a special session on The Past and Future of Semantics. A history of the Amsterdam Colloquium can be found on the website of its Proceedings (https://platform.openjournals.nl/PAC/history).
In addition to the general program and the special session, the 25th Amsterdam Colloquium will feature a workshop on Semantics and Non-classical Logics. The Colloquium will also include a poster session and an evening lecture by Prof. Nicholas Asher, jointly organised with the E. W. Beth Foundation.
