Details

The book adopts an explicitly interdisciplinary and pluralistic approach, drawing on sociology, science and technology studies (STS), political science, law, communication and media studies, political economy, anthropology, education, and computational social science. Comparative, global, and Global South perspectives are particularly welcome. It seeks to bridge classic Internet Studies concerns with the urgent realities of the post-2025 AI era, offering new theoretical frameworks, methodological innovations, and forward-looking visions.

The volume is structured in five parts:

- Part I: Foundations and Theorizing Internet Studies

- Part II: Platforms, Data, and Economic Transformations

- Part III: Society, Culture, Identities, and Inequalities

- Part IV: Governance, Regulation, Ethics, and Rights

- Part V: Methods and Future Directions
