2nd CALL FOR PAPERS (EXTENDED DEADLINE)
The Postgraduate Journal of Aesthetics invites high quality contributions from postgraduate students for its Summer 2014 issue (vol.11, no. 2).
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS: 25th August 2014
We welcome papers from diverse philosophical perspectives (including analytic, continental and historical ones). Submissions should be accessible, concise and of a standard appropriate to excellent postgraduate level research. They should be roughly 3,000 words in length, but not longer than 3,500.
Papers should be submitted by 25th August in Rich Text Format (.rtf). Submissions should be anonymised for peer-review and should be made online at www.pjaesthetics.org by registering as an Author and uploading your document for submission.
PJA is unique among postgraduate journals in that it is peer-reviewed by full time academics. PJA operates a strict anonymous editorial procedure in order to increase fairness for those from groups currently underrepresented in philosophy. We aim to provide feedback on all submissions, whether successful or not. All successful submissions will be eligible for entry to the new annual Postgraduate Aesthetics Essay Prize, generously funded by the British Society of Aesthetics. PJAalso welcome submissions of short reviews (between 500 and 1000 words) of any recent books on philosophical aesthetics. We also publish interviews with professional philosophers of art written by postgraduate students, please contact us if you would be interested in writing an interview for publication.
