We are thrilled to issue this Call for Papers for our Fifth Annual Conference, which will take place on June 24th and 25th, 2027 at Georgetown University Law School. The event is generously sponsored by Professor Stephanie Barclay, the Georgetown Center for the Constitution, and the Georgetown Institute for the Study of Markets and Ethics.


We call for papers that philosophically engage with/analyse/critique the law and/or concepts applicable to the conceptual analysis of law, and will consider papers that are up to 9,000 words (including footnotes). Submitted papers must be fully anonymised and include an abstract of up to 250 words.

We are also delighted to announce that we are working in partnership with the journal Law & Philosophy, which will publish the selected papers, subject to peer review. If a paper is selected, the author(s) agree not to submit the paper elsewhere until a decision by Law & Philosophy is communicated.
