CFP: Florida State University's Minorities and Philosophy Annual Graduate Philosophy Conference

Florida State University’s chapter of the Minorities and Philosophy Club invites submissions of abstracts for its Annual Graduate Philosophy Conference to be held on 4/2-4/3.

Our keynote speaker this year will be Manuel Vargas, professor of philosophy at University of California, San Diego. Vargas specializes in ethics, agency, and Latin American philosophy. In addition to publishing a prodigious number of articles, he has written books on topics such as free will and moral responsibility.

Submission Guidelines

Deadline: Monday, January 1st, 2027, at 11:59pm.

Length: No longer than 500 word abstract. Abstracts should be suitable for a 20–25 minute presentation.

Subject Matter: We welcome any work exploring the intersections of philosophy or the philosophical academy and marginalization or minority populations. This would include any work on philosophy of/and race, gender, class, sexuality, disability, neurodiversity, culture, native language minorities, and similarly underrepresented demographics in Western academic philosophy.
