Ljubljana Doctoral and Postdoctoral Conference in Political Theory and Philosophy

The Department of Philosophy at the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana, invites doctoral candidates and early-career postdoctoral researchers to a two-day conference in political theory and political philosophy.

The conference is open to work on any topic in the field, and is unconstrained by school or tradition. Papers in the analytic and continental traditions are equally welcome, as are Marxist, critical-theoretical, psychoanalytic, (post)structuralist, comparative, historical, and normative approaches.

Keynote speakers

–     Richard Bellamy (University College London) — title to be confirmed

–     Vincent Harting (London School of Economics) — title to be confirmed

Format

Papers will be grouped into thematic panels. Each speaker will have 50 minutes to divide between the presentation and discussion. There is no requirement to send papers in advance, but there will be an opportunity to do so.

Practical information

There is no registration fee. Coffee and lunch will be provided on both days. We regret that we are unable to cover travel or accommodation costs.

We particularly encourage submissions from researchers belonging to groups underrepresented in political theory.
