The lecture develops "aesthetic thinking" as a dimension of philosophical practice in its own right. Philosophical conversation is usually geared towards conceptual clarification and argumentative rigour, while the sensuous, embodied and experiential dimensions of thought remain out of view. Aesthetic thinking, by contrast, systematically draws in perception, mood, imagination and expression.

Engaging with Baumgarten's Aesthetica, Schiller's Letters on the Aesthetic Education of Man, Dewey's Art as Experienceand Blumenberg's metaphorology, aesthetic experience is shown to be a form of knowledge in its own right, equal in standing to discursive reasoning: not mere subjective sensation, but a mode of disclosing the world, marked by immediacy, multiplicity and atmospheric density. For philosophical practice this means shaping processes of insight performatively, imagistically and close to experience.

Selected formats – individual consultations, aesthetic journaling, philosophical dramaturgy, aesthetic horizon work, and open, dialogical encounters with art – demonstrate how aesthetic experience becomes the starting point of philosophical reflection, turning mere knowledge into insight. Aesthetic thinking thus appears not as a supplement or a counter-programme, but as a constitutive part of a philosophising that takes the interplay of perceiving, feeling and thinking seriously.
