The British Society for Phenomenology are looking to programme International Symposium events running between 2027 and 2029. If you are a member of a phenomenology society or a university with a focus on phenomenology, based outside the UK, and wish to express an interest in collaborating on an International Symposium in 2027 or beyond, please read on…
The BSP’s International Symposium is intended as a single-track, in-person event, lasting no longer than a single day in total (though the programme can be split over two days if necessary) including a symposium meal as part of the schedule.
The International Symposium is intended to foster closer links between phenomenologists working in the UK and across the world. It offers a platform through which to spotlight areas of excellence and innovation at different host institutions or countries, entering into dialogue with visiting delegates from the BSP and to explore common research interests.
The BSP will support host institutions with co-funding and co-organisation of the event, with plenty of scope to shape the event agenda and format. The BSP events team will assist, with Dr Jonathan Wren (Chair of the International Symposium) as the main point of contact between the host institution and the BSP events team.
