Call for Abstracts: Iowa Philosophical Society 2026 Conference

Abstract submission deadline:
October 1st, 2026
Submission details:
Papers on any philosophical topic are welcome. Abstracts (of approximately 500 words)
are to be submitted by email to Robert Earle . Please include “IPS
2026 Abstract Submission” in the subject line. Sessions will be 25 minutes followed by
25 minutes Q&A.
Keynote Address details:
The keynote address that evening will be delivered by Iowa State University Professor
and Director of Bioethics, Clark Wolf. Professor Wolf’s talk, an Aldo Leopold
Distinguished Lecture Series Event, is entitled:
Resources for the Future: Commons Tragedies, Collective Environmental Action, and
Intergenerational Justice.
Lead-up event (Friday):
There will also be a talk late-afternoon on Friday, November 6th by a UNI Philosophy
professor (details forthcoming). For those planning to travel to Cedar Falls on Friday, you
might want to consider coming early enough to join us for this talk as well as a
pay-your-own-way dinner at a local restaurant following.
