CFP: 15th Annual Graduate Conference at the University of Calgary

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to invite submissions for the 15th Annual Graduate Conference at the University of Calgary, taking place May 3–5, 2027. This year’s conference will focus on Epistemic Corruption and Populist Politics, while also welcoming submissions addressing philosophical and religious questions and ideas across all areas.

The conference dates are dependent on the number of submissions received; the conference may conclude on May 4.

Call for Papers

We welcome papers from all areas of philosophy, with a particular emphasis on epistemic corruption and populist politics. We encourage submissions that engage with these themes from a range of philosophical perspectives, as well as papers addressing broader philosophical and religious questions and inquiries.

Potential areas of interest include:

• Epistemology

• Political Philosophy

• Social and Political Epistemology

• Ethics

• Social Philosophy

• Philosophy of Science

• Philosophy of Language

• Philosophy of Mind

• And other areas of philosophical inquiry

Submission Guidelines

We invite full-paper submissions of approximately 3,000 words, excluding footnotes and bibliography. We also will ask for an abstract approximately 150-300 words. Papers should be prepared for blind review and should be suitable for a 20-minute presentation.

Presentation Format

Selected authors will be invited to present their papers at the conference. Each presentation will be allocated 20 minutes, followed by 10 minutes of Q&A and discussion.
