Details

The conference will bring together 15 scholars -- 12 invited, and 3 more chosen through this competitve process -- to present work-in-progress that connects discussions of the axiology of theism and other worldviews with the virtues and vices of spiritual yearning.

Papers from the conference will subsequently be published in an anthology or special issue of a journal. Chosen participants will be given $1,000 USD to defray travel and accommodation costs for attending the conference, plus a $2,000 USD honorarium upon submission of their essay for publication.

Preference will be given to submissions that focus on non-theistic or non-dominant religious/spiritual worldviews. Abstracts must make clear how the proposed papers will explore connections between the axiology of a particular worldview and the virtues or vices of spiritual yearning.

Applicants are encouraged to review theaxiology of theism and other worldviews bibliography, and theabstracts by invited presenters.

Abstracts should be 500 words or fewer, and anonymized -- for although the organizers seek to have a balanced program both in terms of topics and presenters, the initial stage of review will be done anonymously.

They should besubmitted here, by the deadline.

Decisions will be communicated in January 2027.
