Call for Papers: Journal of Global Human Rights – Inaugural Volume

The Journal of Global Human Rights invites submissions for its inaugural volume.

The Journal of Global Human Rights is an international, interdisciplinary, double-blind peer-reviewed, open-access journal devoted to the study of human rights. The journal is an initiative of Research Committee 26 on Human Rights (RC26) of the International Political Science Association (IPSA).

We welcome original research articles addressing the philosophical, legal, political and social dimensions of human rights.

Contributions in philosophy are particularly welcome on topics including, but not limited to:

• Human rights theory

• Political philosophy

• Philosophy of law

• Ethics and human rights

• Justice and equality

• Democracy and the rule of law

• Freedom of expression

• Minority rights and multiculturalism

• Discrimination and hate speech

• Migration and refugee rights

• Gender and human rights

• Digital technologies and human rights

• Global justice

• Contemporary challenges to human rights

The journal particularly encourages work that connects philosophical and normative analysis with contemporary human rights problems, as well as interdisciplinary contributions engaging philosophy with law, political science, sociology and international relations.

All research articles undergo double-blind peer review.

The journal is fully open access. There are no article processing charges (APCs) or publication fees.

Submissions for the inaugural volume are now open.

We warmly invite scholars working in human rights, political philosophy, legal philosophy and related fields to submit their research to the Journal of Global Human Rights.
