Details

In collaboration with the Global Philosophy of Religion Project II at the University of Birmingham, UK, we are hosting a conference for graduate students working in philosophy of religion.

Call for Abstracts

We welcome abstracts on any topic in the philosophy of religion. We particularly encourage submissions addressing underexplored topics and traditions. We consider all submissions from current graduate students.

Limited travel and accommodation support is available for accepted speakers whose institutions cannot provide funding. Unfortunately, we are unable to cover travel expenses from overseas. We expect to be able to support approximately five speakers.

Please email a single Word document containing the following to Yujin Nagasawa at [email protected] by December 20, 2026:

1.      Your name, institutional affiliation, and student status (e.g., MA or PhD).

2.      Your paper title and a 500- to 1000-word extended abstract.

3.      Whether you require travel and accommodation support and, if so, your departure airport for travel to Will Rogers International Airport in Oklahoma City.

Each speaker will have 40–45 minutes in total, including discussion. Applicants will be notified of the outcome by mid-January 2027.

About the Philosophy of Religion Forum

The University of Oklahoma Philosophy of Religion Forum is a regular series of events intended to bring together scholars working in philosophy of religion and related areas. The forum is designed to provide an informal and friendly environment in which participants can share current work, exchange ideas, and receive constructive feedback to one another. We especially hope to foster open discussion and a strong intellectual community among faculty members, graduate students, and visiting scholars with a wide range of philosophical interests.

The University of Oklahoma Philosophy of Religion Forum is supported by the Kingfisher College Endowment through the Kingfisher College Chair of the Philosophy of Religion and Ethics at the University of Oklahoma.
