he international conference Phenomenology and the Political: Experience, Power, and Methodswill take place on 2–4 December 2026 at the University of Beira Interior, in Covilhã (Portugal). Bringing together international scholars, the conference will explore the reciprocal relationship between phenomenology and politics, examining how political realities are constituted, experienced, and transformed through embodied experience, social practices, historical conditions, and relations of power. Particular attention will be given to the lived dimensions of political life, the dynamics of visibility and exclusion, the constitution of political subjectivity, and the methodological possibilities of phenomenological inquiry. By fostering dialogue across philosophy, political theory, and related disciplines, the conference aims to advance critical reflection on power, authority, inequality, and the ways in which phenomenology can illuminate – and be reshaped by – contemporary political realities. Full programme and all information about the event are available on the conference website: https://sites.google.com/view/phenomenologyandthepolitical/home?authuser=0. Researchers and postgraduate students interested in participating are invited to consult the website for details on the programme.
