After a successful 2014 meeting in Reno, NV, the Mountain-Plains Philosophy Conference is very pleased to be returning to the Plains, this time to beautiful Kansas City, MO! We will soon be announcing our keynote speaker, posting our call for papers, and providing information about registration and accommodations.
The Mountain-Plains Philosophy Conference is a friendly, loosely-organized little conference open to papers from all areas of philosophical interest. We've been meeting annually since 1947, with a list of notable past keyote speakers that includes Robert Brandom, Simon Blackburn, Richard Rorty, John Searle, Robert Audi, and Lynne Rudder Baker (among many, many others).
This year's keynote address will be given by Martin Shuster, PhD (Associate Professor of Philosophy and Chair of the Religious Studies & Philosophy Department at Avila University): "Ontology and/of the Film Screen"
