CFP: Comos + Taxis

Cosmos + Taxis is soliciting papers to comprise a special themed issue on Jazz as an emergent cultural phenomenon. Philosophical, historical, sociological and musicological perspectives are most welcome so long as the key notions of Emergence, Improvisation and Conversation are engaged with. Discussion of these ideas can be suggestively extended to other realms of spontaneous order theorizing be it aesthetics, social epistemology, social theory, philosophy of social science, cognitive science, collective intentionality or permutations thereon. Please send proposals by August 1, 2015 for consideration.
