Details

The Journal of Hospital Ethics (JOHE) is a peer-reviewed, specialized periodical, focused on enhancing normative discussion associated with recognizing, understanding, and addressing moral uncertainties and ethical complexities in clinical theory and practice.  JOHE serves as an educational resource for hospital clinicians, medical and surgical residency programs, and bioethics committees across the country and internationally.  JOHE is published by the John J. Lynch MD Center for Ethics at MedStar Washington Hospital Center, Washington, DC, and is produced by the University Publishing Group (UPG).

We welcome submissions of completed manuscripts as well as abstract paper proposals by authors with academic or professional expertise in relevant fields.  Submissions on topics involving clinical bioethics broadly construed will be considered.  Submissions are subject to a standard, double-blind peer-review as well as a rigorous internal review process.  Please limit manuscript submissions to 3500 words, and abstract paper proposals to 250 words.

JOHE is the official proceedings publication for the International Conference on Clinical Ethics Consultation (ICCEC) and a partner journal of the American Society for Bioethics and Humanities (ASBH)
