Details

The first annual symposium of the Boston Phenomenology Circle will take place on Friday, April 1, 2016 at Boston University. The Circle, founded by graduate students at Boston University and Boston College, is a forum and network for individuals working on phenomenology in the Boston area.

The theme of this first symposium is Contemporary Work in Phenomenology. We seek to display cutting-edge interpretive work on figures in the phenomenological movement, including contemporary engagements with phenomenology (e.g., from philosophy of mind and language, metaphysics, logic, social and political philosophy, critical theory, aesthetics). This one-day symposium has space for four paper presentations.

The symposium will also feature two keynote speakers:

Avner Baz (Tufts)
George Heffernan (Merrimack College)

Contact: Zach Joachim [email protected] / Sean Driscoll [email protected]
