Details

During the last few Philosophy of the City conferences, pertinent research questions and areas have emerged, showing how philosophers can uniquely contribute to an understanding of the city. For this conference, zeroing in on the research strands below remains paramount, but we welcome all submissions aiming to understand the city as a concept, any of its dimensions, or urban affairs. Interdisciplinary scholars who strongly include philosophical insights in their presentations are welcome.

For individual submissions, provide abstracts of 200-300 words. For panels of 3-4, each abstract should be 150-200 words. To suggest an unconventional presentation, please inquire. Send submissions and questions to Shane Epting, [email protected]. All submissions should be prepared for anonymous review. Acceptance/rejection notices should arrive within 2 weeks after submission. Deadline: July 15, 2016. For all other details, see philosophyofthecity.org.
