THE CONFERENCE
Now in its sixteenth successive year, the annual conference of the British Postgraduate Philosophy Association (BPPA) is the largest, most prestigious and longest running graduate philosophy conference in the United Kingdom. This year’s conference is to be held at the University of Edinburgh from 3 - 6 September. Speakers and respondents will have the option of having their papers published in a special issue of Philosophical Writings. Bursaries will be offered to speakers and respondents (in the form of a £20 fee reduction), thanks to the Analysis Trust (please see our registration website for more details).
THE BPPA CAREERS DAY
Following the success of last year's inaugural BPPA Careers Day, the BPPA has decided to run it a second time. The Careers Day is a full day of talks and symposia given by leading academics on topics related to careers in philosophy, ranging from preparing for job interviews and designing an academic C.V. to guidance on publishing, the philosophy job-market and the hiring process.
