The MANCEPT Workshops is an annual conference in political theory, organised under the auspices of the Manchester Centre for Political Theory. Next year’s conference will take place on Monday 11 September to Wednesday 13 September at the Arthur Lewis Building, University of Manchester. The conference offers academics an opportunity to come together in a series of workshops so as to develop specialised work and engage in lively philosophical discussion. Attracting scholars throughout the world, the conference is now established as a leading international forum dedicated to the development of research in all subfields of political theory.
The call for convenors has now closed. We will shortly begin to upload the details of the accepted workshops on our website http://www.mancept.com. You can see an overview of the panels which have been accepted there.
Registration for this conference will open in May. All participants (convenors and paper-givers alike) must register in order to attend. The cost of registration is £230 for academics and £135 for graduate students/retirees.
We have a limited number of bursaries available to cover the full cost of registration. Anyone who is not currently in full-time employment may apply. The deadline to apply for a bursary is 16 June. To apply for a bursary, please include the following information in a word document and email it to us at: [email protected] – Name, Institutional Affiliation, Paper Title, Panel Title, and Reason for Application. We will confirm receipt of your application and decisions will be made by the 23 June.
If you have any questions, please e-mail the workshop organisers Sara Van Goozen and Nicola Mulkeen at:[email protected].
