Submission of Proposals: We welcome all proposals addressing themes within the discipline of Bioethics (broadly construed) including such themes as Reproduction and Abortion, Life and Death Issues, Neuroethics and Dementia, Allocation of Resources and Social Justice, Public Health, Human Experimentation and Animal Experimentation, Issues within the Practice of Healthcare including Trust, Truth-Telling, Informed Consent, Patient Autonomy, Conflicts of Interest and Confidentiality, Gender, Race, and Cultural issues. While there is a growing interest in Western-oriented bioethics, we encourage submissions from Asian, African, and other viewpoints.

Graduate Student and Faculty Submissions: Please email an abstract of no more than 550 words in a file prepared for blind review, meaning without any personal identifying information. In the body of the e-mail include author’s name, paper title, institutional affiliation, faculty or graduate student status, address, phone number, and email address. Final papers should be of a length that permits a 20-25 minute presentation.

Undergraduate Student Submissions: Please submit a paper, formatted with double- spaced, numbered pages, 3000 words maximum (not counting notes) in a file prepared for blind review as described above. Include in a separate file an abstract of no more than 250 words. In the body of the e-mail include author’s name, paper title, institutional affiliation, address, phone number, and word count for the paper. Time for presentation will be 15 to 20 minutes.
