Details

We invite papers and extended abstracts (at least 700 words) in philosophy of emotion, broadly construed.  Topics in all areas of philosophical research connecting to emotions are welcomed, including aesthetics, ethics, epistemology, philosophy of mind, and philosophy of religion. We encourage empirically informed philosophical research as well as more traditional philosophical approaches. Accepted papers should be suitable for approximately 40 minute presentations.

The University of Nebraska at Omaha is a vibrant and growing metropolitan university of about 15,500 students. We have an active philosophy department with about 30 majors. The workshop is in part aimed at raising wider interest in philosophy and building bridges across our university. Thus, papers that are accessible to a broad audience are particularly welcomed.

By the way, Omaha is great city!  Trust us.

Email papers or extended abstracts in .docx or .pdf format to [email protected]

Submission deadline: January 20 2017  (We will consider late submissions if space is still available.)
