Thesubmissiondeadline isJanuary 31,2017.Papersoughtnotexceed3,000 words(excluding footnotes andreferences) and presentablewithin 25 minutes. Therewill becommentaries oneachpaper,and authorsof acceptedpapers willbeinvited to commenton otherpapers.

TheNew Mexico– TexasPhilosophical Societyhas a longstandingtraditionof publishing outstandingcontributionsinitsjournal, Southwest Philosophical Studies. Submissions will beautomatically consideredforpublication, unless otherwise indicatedinthesubmissionprocess.Journaleditorialpracticesrequireastrictmaximum limit of 3,000wordsandendnotes inMLAformat.

(2)   Houghton DalrympleMemorialAward foranexcellent paperby agraduate student or recentPh.D.(withinthelast three years) on epistemology or Hume.Awardrecipient willreceivea $100.00 prize andpublicationinSouthwestPhilosophicalStudies.

(3)   Glenn C.Joy Awardsforthethree best submissions by a philosopheratany careerlevel onany topic.First prizeis$750, second prize is $250, and thirdprize is $100.
