March 18 & 19, 2017 College of William & Mary Williamsburg, VA
Best Paper Author to Receive $200 Runner Up to Receive $100
The College of William & Mary will hold its sixth annual undergraduate philosophy conference on March 18 & 19, 2017. This conference aims to give undergraduate students an opportunity to present their work to their peers and to interact with students from across the country. Papers on any topic in philosophy are welcome. All participants must be undergraduate students. The author of the best paper will receive $200; the runner up will receive $100. Travel stipends may also be available.
Papers should be prepared for blind review (no author-identifying information) and be approximately 2,000-3,000 words. Authors should include a separate document with author contact information and paper title. The conference will use a symposium format. Each session will include the presentation of a paper, commentary, and discussion.
Electronic submissions, including the paper and a brief abstract (PDFs), should be sent to Hunter Gentry. The submission deadline is February 15, 2017. Earlier submissions are encouraged. Applicants will be notified of acceptance by March 1, 2017.
For further details, including travel and lodging information, contact Hunter Gentry via email ([email protected]).
