Topic areas
Details
The conference aims to research the past and present of professional ethics mainly in four essential areas: health care, education, economy (management) and public administration, and to analyse ethical codes of various professional areas. The above areas of life in society employ the most people and have the most significant influence on the perception of this issue, or the situation of ethics and morality in sectors of every-day life in society. It is in these areas that most ethical and moral problems of contemporary Slovak society occur. A deeper penetration into European and world-wide professional ethics is another aim of the conference, which is why contributions dealing with the concerned area in the V4 countries, as well as other European and world countries, are also very welcome.
Scope of contributions:
- Historical development of professional ethics
- Philosophical-ethical issues in professional ethics
- Analysis of the contemporary situation in professional ethics in Slovakia and postcommunist Central Europe
- Codes of ethics – their position and importance in society
- Contemporary forms of and problems in European and world-wide professional ethics
