CFP: Second Annual Meeting of the Spinoza Society of Canada

Theme: This year, the Spinoza Society of Canada aims to promote a dialogue between Canadian English and French-language Spinoza scholars on these themes, inviting selected speakers to present papers in both French and English on topics broadly related to Spinoza’s political theories, philosophical anthropology, and his analyses of the role of superstition and religious customs in human societies.

We invite submissions of abstracts of not more than 400 words from Canadian and international faculty, students, and independent scholars. Submissions may be made in English or French and must be prepared for blind review.

Nous invitons les professeurs canadiens et internationaux, les étudiants et les chercheurs universitaires et indépendants à soumettre des propositions, en anglais ou en français, d’une longueur maximale de 400 mots, préparées pour examen aveugle. 

Submission deadline: April 15th, 2017.

Successful applicants notified by: May 1st, 2017.
