## General info
The workshop "Emergence: Epistemological and Metaphysical Issues" will take place at the University of the Basque Country in Donostia-San Sebastián (Spain) on 26th and 27th of October 2017.
The aim of the workshop is to discuss issues concerning emergence, ranging from epistemological issues related to the emergence of properties in specific scientific practices -such as for instance physics, computer science or climate change- to metaphysical issues in connection with the nature and ontology of emergent properties. Confirmed speakers include:

## Call for papers
We invite the submission of contributed papers from researchers working in any topic related to the epistemology and/or metaphysics of emergence. Abstracts of no more than 500 words should be submitted through EasyChair at https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=eemi17 by June 30th, 2017. Abstracts must be prepared for blind review. The intended allocated time for presentations is 30 minutes (plus 10 minutes for discussion).
We especially encourage submissions from women researchers and junior scholars.
