The Institute for Ethics & Society at the University of Notre Dame Australia is very excited to announce the Notre Dame Happiness, Virtue, and the Meaning of Life Conference!
This conference will explore big philosophical and ethical questions related to cultivating virtue, finding happiness, and understanding what makes life meaningful.
The keynote will be delivered by Prof. Candace Vogler (University of Chicago) who will be spending 3 weeks at Notre Dame Australia as a Distinguished Visiting Fulbright Professor.
The conference will also features fascinating papers from Prof. Moira Gatens (University of Sydney), Prof. Rick Benitez (University of Sydney), Prof. Catriona Mackenzie (Macquarie University) and Dr. Melissa Merritt (UNSW). All of the papers will interact with Prof. Vogler's research in value theory, broadly construed.
The conference is free and open to the public, but RSVP is essential. The day will be especially interesting for anyone working in moral philosophy, the history of philosophy, or interested in how philosophy might help us answer some of life's biggest ethical questions.
Hope to see you there!
