Details

A "horse", in the terminology of machine learning, is a machine learning system that appears to work, but does so in a non-standard, and epistemically worthless, way. (The terminology comes from a much-discussed performing horse called Clever Hans.) This will be a workshop on horses (and related problems in the metatheory of machine learning); it is organised by cognitive scientists, but should be accessible to philosophers with an interest in the area.
