The GAnPh-Arbeitskreis zur Förderung von Nachwuchswissenschaftlerinnen (Gesellschaft für Antike Philosophie – Workgroup for the promotion of young female scholars) and the Munich School of Ancient Philosophy (MUSAPh,  Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München) are pleased to invite you to the International Conference in Ancient Philosophy (3rd international meeting of the Workgroup) which will take place in Munich on 7th- 9th June 2018.

The main goal of the conference is to give visibility to and promote young female scholars in Ancient Philosophy. For this reason, we particularly welcome applications from female candidates who have completed a PhD or are close to completing one.

There is no topic restriction, but the three main areas of interest are:

A.     Logic, Metaphysics and Natural Philosophy

B.     Moral and Political Philosophy

C.     Textual criticism, textual transmission and reception

 

Guide for the submission of abstract
The deadline to submit abstracts (up to 500 words) is the 7th October 2017.
Abstracts should be submitted via email to the members of the organising committee responsible for the three areas of interest:

A.     Logic, Metaphysics and Natural Philosophy

The selected candidates will receive a notification of acceptance together with further information about the conference by end of October 2017.
