The Tübingen Graduate Conferences in Practical Philosophy aim to provide an opportunity for young scholars in practical philosophy and related fields to gain experiences in presenting and discussing their own work with distinguished researchers in the field. The Graduate Conferences are organized by a team of graduate and PhD students at the philosophy department of Tübingen University, Germany. This year’s Conference is dedicated to the question “Is punishment immoral?” and centers on the recent work on the moral justification of legal punishment by our invited guests:

The conference language is English.

This year we invite papers from graduate and PhD students from criminal law studies or moral philosophy to foster interdisciplinary discussion. Ideally papers relate to the work of Prof. Zimmerman or Dr. Bennett.
