The biennial Three Rivers Philosophy Conference will take place on April 12-14, 2013, on the campus of the University of South Carolina.  The theme for this conference is

Death -- The Reality of an Idea

We invite submissions on various aspects of the phenomenon of death and dying, including gender and death, death in literature, religious attitudes towards death and ars moriendi, public policies regarding death, clinical and medical aspects of and attitudes towards death, and more.  We encourage submissions from a variety of philosophical perspectives, and from discplinary perspectives outside of philosophy that speak to or are relevant to philosohical concerns.
