The topic of the 2018 University of Calgary Graduate Philosophy Conference is the Philosophy of Biology broadly construed. The aim of the conference is to explore the newest work at the intersection between philosophy and life and medical sciences. We welcome submissions from philosophers and biologists, and have no restrictions concerning preferred topics or approaches to philosophy of biology. Hence, the aim is to create an environment of intense collaborative work able to reflect and to foster diversity in the philosophy of biology.
Dates: May 3-4 2018
KEYNOTE SPEAKERS: Roberta Millstein (UC Davis) and Marc Ereshefsky (University of Calgary)
SENIOR PARTICIPANTS: The university of Calgary philosophers of science Megan Delehanty and C. Kenneth Waters also confirmed their participation in the general audience during the whole conference. Hence, besides the keynote speakers, they will also be engaging with the graduate students.
