New deadline for acceptance of abstracts: 15 March


Until 15 March 2018, the 3rd International Congress of the Portuguese Philosophical Society will accept proposals for talks or thematic sections. We welcome talks in all areas and methodologies of philosophical study. Proposals should be associated to one of the sections of the Congress.

Congress languages: Portuguese, English, French, Spanish, German, Italian.

Proposals will be evaluated in blind refereeing by a large panel of specialists in each of these domains.

The Congress is organized by Sociedade Portuguesa de Filosofia in partnership with Labcom.IFP Instituto de Filosofia Prática and the Department of Communication and Arts of the University of Beira Interior, and also the collaboration of the philosophical societies of Brasil (Associação Nacional de Pós-Graduação em Filosofia – ANPOF) and Spain (Red Española de Filosofía – REF).

The Congress has the scientific collaboration of the Portuguese Association for Phenomenological Philosophy (AFFN), the Portuguese Association for the Theory and Philosophy of Law and Social Philosophy (APTD), the Luso-Brazilian Institute of Philosophy (IFLB), the Society for Environmental Ethics (SEA) and the Portuguese Society for Analytic Philosophy (SPFA).
