The Institute of Philosophy Edith Stein (IFES), the Pontifical University John Paul II, and the International Centre for the Study of the Christian Orient welcome graduate students and professors to explore the theme of the 6th Annual Summer School and Conference: Beyond Secular Faith.

The theme of this year’s summer school and conference is “The Economy of Desire.” 

While this is a broad theme, the summer school and conference will explore a cluster of issues at the intersection of: economics, theology, philosophy, ethics, free market capitalism and its critics.

IFES International Summer School and Conference is open to graduate, PhD Students, postdoctoral researchers and professors from around the world.

There are two parts to the program: The Summer School and The Academic Conference.

Attendees are welcome to participate in either or both parts of the program.

The Summer School: 17-23 June 2018

The Academic Conference: 22-25 June 2018
