The University of Texas at Austin’s Graduate Conference is an annual conference for graduate students, hosted by the graduate students in the philosophy department at the University of Texas at Austin. We aim to offer a forum for philosophical papers on all topics in philosophy. We are delighted to announce that we will have two keynote speakers: Stephen Stich, Professor of Philosophy and Cognitive Science at Rutgers University, and Michaela McSweeney, Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Boston University. 

Date: Friday-Saturday, March 23-24, 2018.

We welcome high-quality paper submissions from graduate students in any area of philosophy including, but not limited to:

• Aesthetics
• Ethics
• Metaethics
• Philosophy of language
• Philosophy of mind, psychology, or cognitive science
• Philosophy of science
• Logic
• Philosophy of mathematics
• Epistemology
• Metaphysics
• Political philosophy
• Philosophy of race
• History of philosophy

We especially encourage submissions from members of groups underrepresented in the philosophy
profession.

Submission Deadline: Monday, January 22, 2018.

All submissions must be 4000 words at most and prepared for blind review. Please submit all documents (in .pdf, .docx, or .doc format) to [email protected] with the subject ‘UT Austin Graduate Conference submission’. Please use your paper title as the document’s name (e.g., InterestingPaper.pdf). One submission per author. In addition, please include a cover letter with:

· Title 
· Author’s name
· Author’s institutional affiliation
· Author’s email
· Word count (≤ 4000 words)
· Abstract (≤ 300 words)
