Details

Recent years have seen a flurry of new research into normative concepts. To name but a few lines of enquiry, there has been work on metalinguistic negotiation, normative disagreement and normative concepts, inferentialist accounts of normative vocabulary and conceptual role semantics, research into contextualism, deontic modals and aesthetic terms, as well as new understandings of what it takes to qualify as competent with normative concepts.

The aim of the Second Annual Frankfurt Metaethics Conference is to investigate and advance recent developments in the study of normative concepts. It will run over two days and provide plenty of time for discussion and exchange. Besides the slots for invited speakers, four slots for contributed papers have been scheduled.

Conference bursaries are available. There will be no conference fee.
