Announcing the first annual Loyola undergraduate philosophy conference! This public conference, sponsored by the Loyola philosophy department, will feature the work of Loyola undergraduate philosophers as well as their peers in other Chicago-area institutions and will take place on March 24, 2018, on Lakeshore campus.

Please submit a proposal of 200-300 words for a presentation on any philosophical topic of your choice by Thursday, Feb. 22 to [email protected] and [email protected]. Papers written for class are welcomed and encouraged, as well as proposals for prospective papers. If you have an idea you’d like to share, please consider submitting it.

All undergraduate students with an interest in philosophy are encouraged to submit an abstract for consideration. Presenting at undergraduate conferences is an excellent way to build your resume, get experience sharing your ideas, and (perhaps most important!) spend the day with others on campus who are interested in philosophy.

Send your papers and any questions to the conference organizers: Yiran Zhang ([email protected]) and Joe Vukov ([email protected]).
