CALL FOR PAPERS

The Houston Community College Department of Philosophy, Humanities, and Library Sciences welcomes you to submit a paper to its 3rd annual conference in philosophy and humanities.

 The HCC Philosophy and Humanities Conference welcomes papers in all topics in philosophy, humanities, and interdisciplinary studies. Special preference will be given to papers that focus on issues related to undergraduate instruction, including but not limited to Mexican-American and Chicano studies, Africana and African-American studies, Women and Gender Studies, and pedagogy. There is no registration fee for this conference. The conference will be held at Houston Community College, Central Campus, 1300 Holman, Houston, TX 77013.

Papers must be prepared for blind review and may not exceed 3000 words (please indicate word count at the top of the paper submission – abstract and references are not included in word count). Papers exceeding this length will not be considered. Abstracts will be accepted between 350-800 words.

Presentations should be 30-35 minutes with 10-15 minute audience discussion.
