CALL FOR PAPERS
The 2019 speaker for the annual Aquinas Lectureship at Marquette University (to take place February 24, 2019) is Dr. Robert Brandom, distinguished professor of philosophy at the University of Pittsburgh. His Aquinas Lecture will center on some themes from his much-anticipated work on Hegel’s Phenomenology of Spirit. Prof. Brandom has been working on thisopus magnumfor more than a decade. It is set to be released in 2019 and will be entitled A Spirit of Trust.
To accompany Prof. Brandom’s visit and to take advantage of his presence, we are organizing a two-day conference centered on his work (February 22-23). Prof. Brandom will personally attend the two-day conference and comment on the papers given.
We invite paper submissions on the work of Robert Brandom, focusing on (though not restricted to) the topics mentioned in the title above. Please send us title, detailed abstract (max. 1000 words), name & institutional affiliation no later than October 1, 2018. Speakers will be notified of acceptances by November 1, 2018.
More information on the conference (including travel and accommodation) will be forthcoming later in the fall.
