Details

The first major conference organised under the auspices of the Fribourg/Warwick research project Perception, Rationality and Self-Knowledge will take place at the University of Fribourg, 24th – 26th September 2018, in the Salle Jäggi (4112).

The guiding idea of the conference is that there are important, mutually illuminating connections between two sets of issues that are often treated in isolation: on the one hand, questions about the way perception puts us in touch with the mind-independent world and, on the other hand, questions concerning the nature of self-awareness and self-understanding. The conference aims to bring together different perspectives on the two topics and possible interconnections between them.
