The Kent State University Graduate Department is pleased to announce its 26th Annual Philosophy Graduate Student Conference in Remembrance of May 4th, 1970. The conference will take place at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, on March 9, 2019.  We are excited to have Dr. Marcia Baron (Indiana University) as our keynote speaker this year.

Submissions by graduate students in any field of philosophy are welcome, but this year we will be hosting a special “Minorities and Philosophy Panel.” Spots on this panel will be reserved for students who wish to present on the philosophy of gender, race, sexual orientation, class, disability, native language, or any topic related to underrepresented groups in philosophy.

Local transportation and limited overnight accomidations are available with Kent State graduate students (available accomidations will be allocated first-come, first-served). Buffet lunch, including vegetarian options, will be provided free of charge for all participants.

The conference is free and open to the public.
