Details

The Memphis Undergraduate Philosophy Circle announces the continuation of the annual undergraduate conference. Keeping with the vast tradition of Philosophy, we accept papers on all topics, new traditions and old. Given the broad field of topics, we encourage everyone who participates to have an open mind and a desire to learn about the ideas and interests of fellow undergrad philosophers.

The undergraduate conference will be held at Rhodes College in conjunction with the Midsouth Philosophy Conference, giving undergraduates the opportunity to participate in the larger philosophical community.

Conference Style:

Papers selected for presentation by the conference committee may be read aloud, paraphrased, or otherwise presented with or without the use of aids (PowerPoint, whiteboard, etc.). Presentations should be limited to 20 minutes, in order to give adequate time for questions and discussions.

Submission Guidelines:

Papers should:

(1) be 3000 words or under

(2) include a cover letter stating the author's name, institution, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.

Email to Cathy Wilhelm at [email protected].

There is no fee for the conference but papers must be received by January 15 in order to be considered.

Questions:

Contact Cathy Wilhelm at [email protected].
