Details

The Marquette Philosophy Graduate Student Association invites submissions for our 2019 annual spring conference. The theme of this year’s conference is “‘All Men Are Created Equal’: Democracy, Exclusion, and Freedom.” We welcome paper submissions from graduate students in all areas of philosophy. While we encourage submissions on topics related to democracy (broadly construed), preference will be given to those papers that deal with issues related excluded persons or groups in democratic societies.

Please submit papers of approximately 3,000 words, prepared for blind review, and send as a PDF or Word document to [email protected].  The body of your email should include your name, paper title, email address, and institutional affiliation. The subject heading of your email should read: [your name] MUGPC Submission 19.

If your paper is accepted, you will have 20-25 minutes for presentation. MU philosophy graduate students will serve as commentators on presented papers.

Submission deadline--EXTENDED: January 31, 2019.

Housing for presenters with Marquette philosophy students may be available by request.

Please address any general questions to Nathaniel Taylor ([email protected]).
