Call for participation

We are currently welcoming applications from postgraduates to participate in the masterclass as well as for masterclass postgraduate presenters. We especially encourage submissions from members of underrepresented groups in philosophy. Additional facilities and funding may be available for applicants with reduced mobility or childcare responsibilities (please contact us if this is needed). Participation is free of charge but space is limited and priority may be given to the participants who demonstrate they will benefit most from the masterclass.

To apply to be a masterclass participant, please send us: (i) a brief description of the relevance of your research to the masterclass (250 words max), and (ii) a brief cover letter explaining how you hope to benefit from participating by email at [email protected] by the 1st of May 2019.

To apply to be a graduate presenter, please submit, in addition to the above, a 500 words abstract of the talk you would like to give, prepared for anonymous review, through EasyChair (https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=ceics1), also by the 1st of May 2019. The paper should be suited for a 30-40 minutes presentation, which will be followed by a 15-minutes discussion.

Notifications of acceptance for both graduate participants and speakers will be sent no later than the 8th of May 2019. Authors of accepted papers will be asked to send a draft of their paper by the 1st of June 2019, to be circulated to all participants prior to the masterclass.
