Details

The fifth edition of the Cambridge Doctoral Workshop in Legal Theory will be held on 26 August 2019 at the University of Cambridge. We welcome abstracts that address legal questions from philosophical and theoretical perspectives.

Our keynote speaker is Professor Veronica Rodriguez-Blanco, Professor in Moral and Political Philosophy (Jurisprudence) in the School of Law, University of Surrey and member of the Surrey Centre for Law and Philosophy.

The Workshop is primarily for research students and those who have received their doctoral degree less than two years ago.

The Workshop does not have a fixed theme. Consideration will generally be given to creating thematically-coherent panels when selecting abstracts for presentation.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer subsidies for the presenters’ travel and accommodation costs.

Please send your abstract of less than 500 words and your CV to Giordana Campagna (gc574@cam.ac.uk) and Agnes Harriet Lindberg (ahl33@cam.ac.uk) by 20 May 2019. The chosen presenters should submit their full papers by 1 August 2019 so that there is sufficient time to circulate the papers to the participants. The length of the paper should not exceed 8,000 words (including footnotes).

Queries can be addressed to Giordana Campagna (gc574@cam.ac.uk) or Agnes Harriet Lindberg (ahl33@cam.ac.uk)
