Details

The University at Buffalo’s Romanell Center for Clinical Ethics and the Philosophy of Medicine is soliciting abstracts for its Saturday February 15, 2020 Workshop. The abstracts can be on any topic in bioethics or the philosophy of medicine, broadly construed. Abstracts should be sent by email to David Hershenov at [email protected]. Abstracts should be prepared for blind review and be no more than 750 words. The subject line of the email should state "Romanell Center Workshop – February 15, 2020." Decisions about submitted abstracts will be made in early August 2019. If the abstract is accepted, the paper must be sent no later than February 8, 2020 so it can be distributed to the other participants prior to the workshop.

Submitters of abstracts should specify whether they want a rejected abstract to be considered for any of the other three Romanell workshops planned for the winter/spring of 2020. Those workshops will take place on Saturday March 14, 2020; Saturday April 25, 2020; Saturday May 23, 2020.

The Romanell Center will provide out of town workshop speakers with lodging the night before and the night of the workshop. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided on the day of the workshop. The Romanell Center will NOT reimburse speakers for their travel expenses - flights, trains, taxis, gas, etc.
