Philosophy in Progress (PiP) is an annual postgraduate conference at the University of Nottingham. The central aim of PiP is to provide a forum for the next generation of philosophers to present and discuss the advances thay are making in contemporary philosophy right now. 

We welcome abstracts from current postgraduate students that make an original contribution to philosophical topics and debates broadly in the analytic tradition. Appropriate topics include, but are not limited to:   

  • Metaphysics
  • Social & Political Philosophy
  • Epistemology
  • Philosophy of Mind
  • Philosophy of Language
  • Meta/Normative/Applied Ethics
  • Philosophy of Religion
  • Aesthetics
  • History of Philosophy
